Traditional Cupping

Traditional cupping is an alternative therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction is believed to promote healing by increasing blood flow, reducing inflammation, and relieving muscle tension. It’s been practiced for thousands of years in various cultures, including Chinese and Middle Eastern.
Two common types of cupping are:

1. Dry cupping: Cups are placed on the skin and a vacuum is created to draw the skin and underlying tissue into the cup, promoting circulation and relieving tension.

2. Fire cupping: In this method, a flame is briefly inserted into the cup to create a vacuum before the cup is quickly placed on the skin. The flame creates the vacuum by removing oxygen, and as the air inside the cup cools, it creates suction against the skin.
